This 5 star hotel meticulous earned every single one of their stars! We celebrated our honeymoon in Mykonos and we made the right decision by choosing to stay at Alissachni Mykonos. Georgia, Maria, and the entire team made us feel welcome and treated us like we were the most important people in the world. We arrived at the tail end of the season, but the staff treated us with as much energy and enthusiasm as if they just opened their doors for the year. Everyone we dealt with, from the front desk, to the bartenders, servers, housekeepers, culinary staff, (and even Tommy the hotel cat) always greeted us with a smile and a friendly conversation. After doing my research in the months before our trip, we chose to stay in the Deluxe Jacuzzi Suite Phivi. I truly believe this is the best suite in the hotel. It is on the upper floor with plenty of privacy and a spacious sun deck. The heated outdoor Jacuzzi was a must for our mid-October visit. They even covered it for us daily so that it would be extra warm for our evening dips into the water. The sunset views from our room were amazing. The breakfast was delicious, and they never made us a bad drink! Due to the hotel's remote location, I recommend that anyone staying here rent transportation during their stay. There is not much walkable except for one beach. The roads to the hotel are not for the faint of heart, though! :-) On site parking was included in the rate as well as our transfer to and from the airport/sea port. All in all this was an amazing and memorable trip, and Alissachni Mykonos played a big role in making our honeymoon one we will never forget!!
We can only recommend the hotel. We enjoyed it very much there and were positively surprised how accommodating and cordial the team was. The view is perfect and even though it was already a bit cold to use the large and stunning pools we could relax in the sun and enjoy the view. The breakfast has everything you could want and the team cares lovingly for their guests. The beds are good and rooms are large. The room service is coming when you want and if you need some extras (we asked for more water) you will get immediately. little hint: the connection with Lufthansa from Munich is quite relaxed to arrive and depart.
PROS: Staff. They were excellent, especially Elton our driver. Food. Wonderful, especially the free breakfast. Aesthetic Design. Gorgeous! CONS: Certain rooms (102-106, but especially 106) had obstructed views of the sea (see photos). After 5 min of being in 106, I had to leave! Due to low availability I was moved to 102 which had less of an obstructed view but it was still problematic from my point of view. Isolated. Due to the long, windy roads with no sidewalk, you couldn’t walk anywhere without risking life and limb. To access the beach, it cost $25 each way for the shuttle. If you need transportation after 5:30 pm, you need to get a taxi that costs no less than $35. Room Functionality. In an effort to maintain a beautiful aesthetic in the room, certain basics were absent, such as a shelf in the shower, a trash can by the bathroom sink, etc. All in all, the hotel is beautiful, especially if you’re on a honeymoon and do t plan on leaving the room :)
