The Address Hotels always offer a 5-star experience. The service, room comfort, views, and location are all 5-star. I didn't love the fragrant public spaces, lack of healthy and dietary preference-diverse meals, and maintenance issues that were not advertised before booking. It is a new trend to add scents to air conditioning, but we don't live in a world where one scent fits all. I felt like my senses were overloaded while staying here. Unbeknownst to me, at the time of booking, which was at the last minute, I didn't notice on the website that maintenance issues would affect my stay. Every day around 9a, the iPad in the room next to the bed would loudly "ding," notifying me of the exterior maintenance and cleaning that may affect my views, so it's best to close the shades. Also, a water pipe cleaning shut the water down from 1p-5p on my last day. Even though I set the Do Not Disturb the night before, these notifications sounded, although in hindsight, equally appreciative to be notified of such issues. The breakfast buffet was plentiful. However, I would have liked an a-la-carte option with tofu or gluten-free pancakes and waffles. Off to the side was a small area for gluten-free bread, banana bread, and carrot cake, sealed in plastic (not fresh) and dry tasting. On the plus side, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, with excellent water pressure in the shower. Also, if you book a Club room, Hamza will diligently look after you in the lounge. The Club is best for lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. Breakfast is better in the Restaurant, as there is an increased offering. For those interested in shopping, the hotel's location at the end of Chinatown is excellent. Additionally, if you've shopped too much, you can have your bags delivered to the hotel from Shop and Drop locations throughout the mall. Shout-out to the Concierge members, and Qaiser, who communicated with me after I booked to follow up on my room preference and anything I needed during my stay.
