We were so excited to stay in our first Jumeirah hotel at the beginning of Feb, and it is a lovely hotel, but unfortunately a few things let our trip for my husband’s 40th birthday down. We chose this hotel because of the access to Wild Wadi waterpark which is complimentary if staying here and there is an entrance from the hotel straight into the waterpark. It was closed for the first two days of our holiday. Probably due to winds but no one seemed sure. Ok, understandable. But when it finally opened hardly anything was open! Absolutely no water slides for us to go on. Two very upset children and disappointed parents having spent all this money to stay there for the waterpark and then we couldn’t actually use anything other than the lazy river and wave pool. Again, if we were aware of this before booking we would not have stayed there. I have contacted Jumeirah directly for their response on this but have had absolutely no reply. We will go back to our favourite Dubai hotel, the Atlantis, next time with its fab waterpark and facilities. There is immense construction work going on right outside everyone’s bedroom windows. All rooms are ocean facing so wherever you are staying in the hotel you can see it. Had we known this in advance we would probably not have stayed there. Before our stay we were emailed by Jumeirah to ask if there’s anything they could help with tailoring our stay, restaurant reservations etc. I emailed twice to say that yes we would love a bit of help and advice as it was my husband’s 40th birthday, but I had absolutely no response. Why bother to send me an email if they have absolutely no intention of helping - very, very strange! So now for the good bits - I would recommend being a Club guest as you get access to the stunning Executive pool which was one of the ideal pools and surrounding area that we’ve seen before in a hotel. The Club Lounge is fantastic and a big shout out to Raushan who is the best waiter we’ve ever had! He was so friendly and attentive and works so hard to make sure that everyone has what they want. He’s a real gem and provides the kind of service you would expect in this kind of hotel! The breakfasts in Kitchen Connection are also exceptional, best hotel breakfast buffet we’ve ever had, so much choice and lots of healthy, delicious options. If I had received responses from Jumeirah from the three contacts I made with them prior to and after our trip, I would not have felt the need to write this review, but for a brand that prides itself on luxury holidays I feel that their customer service is really letting them down.

We had such a wonderful relaxing day at the Executive Pool! We were warmly welcomed and then made so comfortable at the Sun Beds! Constant supply of lovely cold water, ice lollies! Heaven. The swim bar is amazing and yes!! They do make the best mojitos.. I had 2! The pool area is so pretty, a tropical island feel. All the time never aware of all the amazing staff who looked after us so efficiently and with lovely smiles! The menu has changed however, we had a pizza that could have come straight from Italy! Delicious. However, a little puzzled they have spaghetti dishes on beach menu? That could have been interesting to attempt on a sun bed! I would have welcomed maybe sandwich wraps or suchlike? But… only an idea! Thank you Santhosh and your wonderful hard working staff for making our day so memorable and special. This was much needed after a very busy 6 months! We feel rejuvenated!
