My husband and I did our babymoon (in Jan '22 - it wouldn't let me do that in my initial review options) and really loved our time at the Miami Beach edition... beautiful property that is well kept. We were greeted with our choice of drink in the beautiful and sleek lobby and loved that the beach was just steps away from the property... the pools are also lovely and so relaxing! The room had a lovely view of the ocean and was spacious and updated nicely!

After having stayed at many Miami hotels I had heard of the Edition and decided to give it a chance. I was very disappointed in our stay. Check in was terrible and we had to wait a few hours for our room and even though we asked for rooms near others in our family and early check in, that request was not honored. Once we got into our rooms we found them small and overpriced. The sink was oddly designed and barely drained. There was little storage and for over $2000 a night per room I felt that we should have stayed somewhere else. On the plus side, the Matador Bar was great as well as the Market at the Edition. The Matador restaurant (for lunch) was just ok and the restaurant was poorly run. There were often very long waits with numerous open tables, which made little sense. For these prices, I expected a better experience. Until the hotel improves I am not going to return. The hotel has many positives (lobby is nice, and so is the pool area and the beach) but the service issues and the room at these prices would cause me to look elsewhere before spending this type of money in Miami.

As a titanium member, I’ve traveled to plenty of EDITION properties and it has been a horrible experience. From the moment you step into the hotel, they know how to make you feel unwelcomed. The front desk barely acknowledges your presence, didn’t acknowledge my status, it was just an incredibly uninviting experience. I had asked to switch rooms the following day (with resistance that I wanted to actually leave the property) given the street noise and to add injury to my not so great experience, I’ve chose the breakfast over the points and was informed by the front desk I could charge it back to the room and had a 60 dollar credit and when I received my folio, the charges were there and the hotel is continuously fighting that I owe them the money because the EDITION doesn’t “offer free breakfast.” On top of that, the room wasn’t even cleaned when I came back after 4 pm and had to call to get service. I have heard from numerous people how horrible this hotel is and I decided to give it a try and they have only confirmed my worst fears about the property. For the amount of money and the fact the EDITION prides themselves on being “high end” you are better off staying at the Hilton Inn across the street.
